PENANG Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) has defended the ongoing redevelopment works at Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU) in George Town, Penang, amid allegations over consultation, regulatory compliance and public safety. 

It said the project is being carried out transparently and in line with long-term port development plans. 

PPSB said PRTU is one of its primary installations and serves as a main ferry terminal together with Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH) in Butterworth. Read more..
